Privacy

• Your email address and display name, so people know who added what.
• The photos, videos, and files you upload, plus the smaller versions we generate for fast viewing.
• Capture dates and camera details read from your files. Location data is removed by default for organizations and for any Lens involving minors.
• Comments, reactions, and a record of who joined which Lens and when.

Only members of a Lens can see that Lens. There is no public feed and no discovery. Media files are served through short-lived signed links, never from a public bucket. Workspace administrators can enter Lenses inside their organization, and every such entry is written to the audit log.

You can export a full archive of any Lens you own or administer at any time: every original file plus a manifest of albums, captions, uploaders, and timestamps. Deleting an item moves it to a recovery window before permanent deletion. Deleting your account purges your data within 30 days, and we offer an export first.

Every upload is queued for automated safety scanning before it becomes visible. Anything flagged is blocked from view, preserved rather than deleted, and reported as the law requires. Where automated scanning is unavailable for a file, the item is labelled and sent to that Lens's moderation queue for a human to approve rather than being quietly passed.

Reporting and blocking are available to every member at any time, and are described in the community guidelines.

We do not sell your data, advertise against it, or use it to train models. We use a small number of processors to run the service:

• Supabase — database, authentication and file storage.
• Vercel — application hosting.
• Expo — mobile app delivery and push notification routing.
• Sentry — crash and error reports, so we can fix faults.
• PostHog — product analytics about how features are used.
• Resend — transactional email, such as invitations, when email is enabled.

Fountain Lens is not directed at children under 13, and you must be at least 13 — or the age of digital consent where you live — to hold an account. Lenses used by schools or youth organizations are administered by that organization, which is responsible for the permissions it has obtained. A Lens can be marked as involving minors, which turns on location stripping and consent tracking. If you believe a child has given us personal data without the right consent, email us and we will delete it.
