Delete your account
You can delete your Fountain Lens account at any time, from inside the app or by writing to us.
From the app
- Open Fountain Lens and go to You.
- Choose Delete account at the bottom of the screen.
- Confirm. Nothing else is required, and you do not need to contact us.
The same option is on the web at fountainlens.com/account.
If you cannot sign in
Email privacy@fountainlens.com from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm once it is done.
What gets deleted
- Your account, display name, email address and avatar.
- The photos, videos and files you uploaded, along with every generated version of them.
- Your comments and reactions.
- Your membership of every Lens, and any invitations you created.
What is kept, and for how long
- Deletion is not instant. Your content is recoverable for 30 days in case you change your mind or delete something by mistake, then it is permanently purged.
- A Lens you created continues to exist for the people you shared it with, and their own photos stay theirs. Your uploads are removed from it.
- Security and audit records — who joined what and when — are kept as long as we are required to, because they exist to protect other people in shared Lenses.
- Content that has been reported and is under review may be retained while that review finishes.
